Free Make.com template · Tally → Google Sheets → Slack

Tally leads in Sheets, Slack only for hot budgets

A form submission does not need to notify the whole team every time. This scenario captures Tally responses instantly, writes a submission ledger and checks a numeric budget before sending Slack Send a Message.

Tally to Sheets with hot Slack alert: free Make.com template
Fictional example on the cover. Your own sheet and apps stay in your Make account.

Keep the intake record; alert only when the budget qualifies

Runs in your own Make account with your own Tally, Google Sheets, Slack connections. Nothing runs through Flowpaja.

The default threshold is 1,000 in the budget unit you choose. A budget equal to the threshold is logged without a Slack alert. Every valid submission gets a row; non-hot submissions have no Slack action. Dedupe uses the form ID plus response ID, so a different submission from the same email is still a distinct intake record.

The ledger records whether an alert is pending, sent or not required. A replay of a completed submission sends no second alert. A pending alert can be resumed after a failed delivery. If Slack delivered successfully but its ledger marker failed, inspect history before replaying: this is not an exactly-once delivery guarantee.

Use this for a Tally intake form with a numeric budget and one internal Slack destination. It does not score leads with AI, update a CRM or send customer follow-ups. It uses Tally's native instant module and its captured field schema; it is a separate implementation from the existing Typeform hot-lead template.

The download includes a connection-free Make blueprint, setup README, fictional CSV test data and test notes. Import into your own Make account, connect your own apps and run the checks before activation. Nothing runs through Flowpaja.

How setup works

Short path from the README. Full steps and credits are in the download.

Import the blueprint

Import the JSON. Connect Tally’s native Watch New Responses module to your form.

Prepare the ledger and Slack channel

Create the sheet from sample.csv. Connect Slack and pick a private test channel for Send a Message.

Confirm the budget field

Use a numeric Tally budget field. Default threshold in module 2 is 1,000; hot means strictly greater than that value.

Test hot, non-hot and replay

Submit fictional responses above and below the threshold, then replay a completed one. Confirm ledger markers and no second Slack ping.

Setup time and credits

Planning estimates, not a timed live-account measurement.

Allow 25–40 minutes once your Tally form, ledger sheet and Slack channel are ready. This is a planning estimate, not a timed live-account measurement. Plan for four credits for a new non-hot submission and six for a new hot submission, before retries. Actual credits depend on the route, bundle count and retries.

Make Free has 1,000 credits/month, two active scenarios, a 15-minute minimum scheduled interval and a five-minute run limit. The README includes a route-by-route estimate and scheduling guidance.

Which template do you need?

Use this template when your source is Tally and you need budget qualification. Choose Form to Slack Free for a simple notification, or Lead Router when qualified leads also need CRM routing.

If the next step is creating or updating CRM contacts and routing lead alerts, review Lead Router. This Tally template keeps the intake ledger and notification small.

FAQ

What makes a lead hot?
The captured budget must exceed the threshold in module 2. The supplied value is 1,000; use a consistent currency or unit and a numeric Tally field.
Is the email address the dedupe key?
No. The form ID plus response ID identifies one submission. A new submission from the same email gets its own row.
What happens to blank or invalid budgets?
A blank budget is treated as zero and receives no alert. A malformed numeric value is rejected before the ledger write; do not silently convert invalid text into a qualified lead.
Can retrying send another Slack message?
A sent marker suppresses normal replay. If Slack delivered but the marker write failed, the delivery is ambiguous; inspect history before resending.
