Free Make.com template · Google Sheets → Slack

Send Google Form responses to Slack

When someone fills in your Google Form, this template posts their answers to a Slack channel you choose. It reads the Form’s response sheet, so you don’t change how you build or share the form. Empty answers show as a dash, so every message has the same layout.

Download the free Form-to-Slack ZIP v1.0 · about 233 KB zip · no sign-up needed · blueprint, example sheet, 2-page PDF guide
How setup works

Free download. No sign-up needed. You’ll need your own Make, Google and Slack accounts. The free version works on its own and stays free.

Google Form responses to Slack: example Slack message with name, email, company and message from a form response
Example message built from the fictional example sheet.

What it does

One small Make scenario with 2 modules. It runs in your own Make account with your own Google and Slack connections. Nothing runs through Flowpaja.

1 · Watch

Checks the response sheet

On your schedule, Google Sheets › Watch New Rows looks for new rows in the tab Form Responses 1.

2 · Filter

Skips rows without a timestamp

Rows with an empty Timestamp are stopped before Slack, so half-deleted rows don’t post.

3 · Post

One message per response

Name, Email, Company and Message go to one channel. Empty answers show as “—”.

What’s in the download

One zip (v1.0, 2 Oct 2026). Tested in Make on fictional data: a row without a Timestamp was filtered out before Slack, and a check with no new rows used 1 credit.

  • Flowpaja_Form_to_Slack_FREE_blueprint.jsonThe Make scenario. No connections, IDs or tokens inside. You connect your own Google and Slack accounts.
  • SETUP_GUIDE.pdf2 pages: setup in 7 steps, the start point setting, limits and fixes for common problems.
  • Form_to_Slack_EXAMPLE_sheet.xlsxThe 5 response columns with 3 fictional responses, plus a How to use tab.
  • Form_Responses_1_tab.csvThe same rows as CSV, plus a README.txt.

Setup in about 10 minutes

You need a Make.com account (the Free plan works), a Google account with Forms and Sheets, and a Slack workspace. No Make account yet? Create a free Make account (affiliate).

Link the Form

In Google Forms: Responses › Link to Sheets. Name the questions Name, Email, Company and Message, or re-map them later.

Import the blueprint

In Make: Create a new scenario › ⋯ menu › Import Blueprint. Pick the linked sheet and tab in module 1.

Set the start point

Right-click module 1 › Choose where to start › From now on, so older responses are not posted.

Connect Slack and test

Type your channel in module 2, submit a test response, click Run once, then turn on the schedule.

Limits

A free, deliberately simple template.

  • Credits on every check. Each scheduled check uses 1 credit, even when nothing is new, plus 1 per response. Every 15 minutes is up to 96 checks a day; on Make’s Free plan (currently 1,000 credits a month) choose every hour or less often.
  • No duplicate check. The same person submitting twice gives two Slack messages. Nothing is merged or saved anywhere else.
  • No blank rows. Make’s Watch New Rows stops reading at a completely blank row, so don’t leave empty rows inside the response sheet.
  • Edited rows. Editing a response in the sheet does not post it again.
  • Errors. No custom alert. Make’s standard error emails apply.

Want each response saved in HubSpot too?

Lead Router ($19) sends each Google Form lead to HubSpot (created, or updated on an exact email match, so no duplicate contacts) and to Slack. It sends $10k+ budgets to #sales-hot, marks repeat submissions “(updated)” and posts error alerts.

FAQ

Do I need a paid Make plan?
No paid-only features are used. Every scheduled check uses a credit, so choose an interval that fits your plan: every hour fits Make’s Free plan if you have few other scenarios.
Will it post my old responses?
Not if you set the start point to “From now on” before the first run (right-click module 1 › Choose where to start). In our test, a scenario without a start point read the existing rows.
What happens if someone submits twice?
You get two Slack messages. The free version doesn’t detect duplicates. Lead Router updates the existing HubSpot contact instead and marks the Slack message “(updated)”.
Can I include more questions?
Yes. Map any extra sheet column into the Slack message text in module 2.
Is my data sent to Flowpaja?
No. The scenario runs in your own Make account with your own Google and Slack connections. The download contains no connections, IDs or tokens.
